Biography
With over two decades of experience in the health and safety field, Steven has made significant contributions to both government and private organizations. Before joining WorkSafeBC in 2015, Steven served as a Senior Advisor for a global, multi-billion-dollar organization, where he oversaw compliance on physical and psychological safety.
At WorkSafeBC, Steven has taken on multiple roles, including Trainer for new prevention officers in Learning and Development Services, Officer in Prevention Field Services, and currently, OHS Specialist for Mental Health Injury Prevention. Steven holds a Master of Science and is a chartered fellow, registered counsellor, and safety professional.
Steven is a Technical Committee Member of CSA-Z1003 Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace and Regional Screening Committee Member for the Board of Registered Safety Professionals. Outside of WorkSafeBC, Steven works as a counselling therapist, specializing in solution-focused brief therapy.
