Session Synopsis: Working Safely Around High Voltage Electricity - ‘Plan for Ten’
This presentation will focus on the regulatory requirements specific to work around high voltage (750V or more) electrical conductors, upcoming changes to the regulation and tools/resources that will promote planning work from pre-construction to hand-over. This presentation will touch on a variety of topics including tower cranes and will be of value to any owner, project manager, architect, engineer, prime-contractor and anyone else frequently working with or around this hazard. This presentation will be facilitated by Glenn Russell.
Glenn is a health and safety professional with more than 15 years of experience. Prior to coming to WorkSafeBC Glenn spent 6 years working with Ledcor Construction both nationally and internationally. Since coming to WorkSafeBC Glenn has supported the prevention mandate in the field with nearly a decade as an occupational safety officer. Most recently Glenn joined the Consultation Education Services team where he utilizes his knowledge, skill and service orientated approach to help others better understand health and safety.
